Why use Homeopathy?

  • Homeopathy is extremely effective. Results can be rapid, complete and permanent.

  • Homeopathy is completely safe. Even babies and pregnant women can use homeopathy without the danger of side effects. Homeopathic remedies can also be taken alongside other medication without producing unwanted side effects.

  • Homeopathy is natural. Homeopathic remedies are based on natural ingredients.

  • Homeopathic remedies are not addictive.

  • Homeopathy is holistic. It treats all the symptoms as one, which in practical terms means that it addresses the cause, not the symptoms. This often means that symptoms tackled with homeopathy do not recur.

Who can benefit from Homeopathy?

You Can! All ages can safely use and benefit from homeopathy.

What is the difference between traditional medicine and homeopathy?

Traditional medicine specifically targets each symptom separately which means you could have a prescription for every ailment discussed. In contrast homeopathy places the emphasis on the patient as a whole and one remedy will be all that is necessary to produce the required change.

What happens during a homeopathic consultation?

You will be asked for a complete medical history and all the issues physical, emotional and social which you and your practitioner feel are relevant to your state of health. A full consultation will last between 1 – 2 hours. The purpose of such a comprehensive approach is to find the correct remedy which benefits you as a whole person.

Do conventional medicines have to be stopped before homeopathic treatment can begin?

No. However, as homeopathic treatment progresses it clearly makes sense to review your drug regimen in conjunction with your conventional medical practitioner. Some drugs can be safely stopped relatively easily, and it is the aim of homeopathic treatment to ultimately reduce dependence as much as possible on all medication.

Some commonly asked questions?

What is the difference between a Naturopath and a Homeopath?

The best way to describe the difference is to look at us in the eyes of our medical doctors.  A Naturopath goes to school for 4 years and is taught many different complementary medicines; this is similar to your G.P. (Family Doctor). He/She has knowledge of many areas of medicine but is not an expert in any of the areas.

A Homeopath completes a 3 year study and has over 2000 hours of Homeopathy and only Homeopathy. We are made aware of the other modalities but we do not focus on them. A Homeopath can therefore be compared to a medical Specialist who focuses on one area of medicine.

What is a Remedy?

A remedy is made from a natural source…plant, mineral or animal.
The Remedy is taken either in liquid or pellet form, depending on the patient. Again Homeopathy is individualized (tailor made for you) as is the way the remedy is prescribed to you and of course has no side effects!

Why chose homeopathy?

Ever feel like there is “something wrong” with you, so you go to the Doctor’s office where they run a battery of tests only to find out there is nothing wrong? You are now frustrated and feel there is no where to turn... that is where Homeopathy is very effective and different. A Homeopathic physician will LISTEN to your concerns and work with you to get you back to your optimal health.
