Parenting 101
We give birth to these wondrous creatures and then it hits us that we are now responsible for this little life. I remember when this hit me…I had just given birth to my daughter, six hours of labour and my brain snapped into fear…I literally just delivered the placenta and turned to the nurse and asked if I had pushed out the manual on how to raise her! I think the nurse thought the stress of giving birth was too much for me, but I was serious. This moment will hit all new parents at different times but it is guaranteed to happen.
Kindergarten Jitter Bugs
Labour Day is rounding the corner and that means summer is ending and a new school year is nearing. There are many parents out there getting a great chuckle from the Staple’s commercial “It’s the most wonderful time of the year”. I know that I do and it drives my kids insane (that’s why I comment on it every chance I get…as a parent it is my right to play with their minds…a little). But there are a group of moms and dads that are not so thrilled that their “baby” is going to school. You might be reading this and think who on earth can that be?? And WHY??
Pregnancy and Homeopathy
Pregnancy is a wondrous experience that may be overshadowed by physical complaints such as nausea, headaches, back pain, constipation, yeast infections, and iron deficiency, just to name a few. Thoughts on the H1N1 & The Vaccination From A Natural Perspective
There has been so much controversy about the H1N1 vaccination that rational people are getting into heated arguments over the issue "to vaccinate or not". My phone has been ringing off the hook with people wanting to know my opinion about the H1N1 vaccination and what I can offer them homeopathically. At this point I have decided to be proactive and write this article regarding my opinion based on the research that I have done.
To Vaccinate or NOT???
The most common question I get in my practice is “What is your opinion of vaccinating children?” My opinion is just that “My opinion”! What I prefer to tell my patients is to make an informed decision by doing your research. I then give patients the links to websites that are for vaccination and websites that are against vaccination. Only after you have read the information can you then make a knowledgeable choice. That being stated, in my opinion I would not vaccinate my child. Here is my reasoning.
